Oral sedation is administered by a tablet or pill given orally to send patients into a less conscious state. Better known as conscious sedation, it is a short acting form of sedation. Although the patient is not completely "out of it," many patients find they have little to no memory of a procedure afterwards. Some patients report feeling that they had fallen asleep during the procedure, or experiencing a sense of deep relaxation. Oral sedation can allow the Ingleside Dental Team to complete even multiple procedures quickly without you feeling any pain or anxiety.
