In Memorium

Robert S. Mattox, III, DDS

We would like to remember Dr. Robert S. Mattox, III, who co-founded Ingleside Dental Associates in 1967. He was a giant in size with the heart of a "teddy bear". He passed away May 27, 2004, at the age of 64. He is greatly missed by his friends and family. Ingleside Dental thanks him for the wonderful memories.

An Albany, Ga. native, Dr. Mattox earned his DDS degree from the Emory University dental school in 1963. From 1963-67, he was in the U.S. Army Dental Corps. He moved to Macon in 1967 and started Ingleside Dental Associates.

Dr. Mattox was a GDA Honorable Fellow (1978), as well as a Fellow of the American College of Dentists. He served in the GDA House of Delegates, and was also past President of the Central District Dental Society and Macon Rotary Club. His wife Glenda and one daughter predeceased him, and one daughter, a brother and sister-in-law, and niece all survive him.
